Yoga Nag is the alter ego of me, Daisy Whittemore, a yoga teacher (E-RYT), who finally found my way to a daily yoga practice by promising myself just one pose a day. Slowly, one day at a time, my home practice was born. And it changed my life. I started talking, writing, and teaching about my experience. I started NAGGING friends, students, and even strangers to bring yoga into their daily lives, one pose at a time.
Now, as this body ages, this mind continues to learn and my practice grows up, I still believe in and practice yoga. I am working to clarify what I now mean by daily yoga (eg, I don’t mean chaturangas every damn day for all). I am focused on facilitating healthy movement in life and yoga, and working to find pause in my daily life. While I am no longer teaching regular public classes, I still think of myself as a yoga teacher. And I am doing a retreat in October 2021 with the amazing Lika Elwood, and I will see where I go after that. In the meantime, #doyoga and love on yourselves, beautiful people.
By accident I unsubscribed because the print was too small on my iPhone for my fingers…. Oops. I want to try the Yoga pose a day , but I am a beginner… What do you think?
Go to some live yoga classes. Or take some online classes. To get a sense of the poses, the breath, the practice. And then consider how to bring something home. Also check out earlier pieces. https://yoganag.wordpress.com/2013/08/26/the-do-one-pose-a-day-blogs/
