Airplane “Yoga”

When I am grateful for my relatively open hips: airplane travel. Tiny seat fidgeting into odd variations of yoga “poses” while neighbor looks puzzled and slightly uncomfortable. Sukhasana, mariachyasana, gomukhasana, half lotus, figure 4, tiny ball shape, or my favorite, feet in the magazine slot…

Work


Some days, the necessary work is belly down, elbows smashed. It’s not easy stuff. Most work isn’t. But we do it. Pressing into our hands, working hard. Because it is good work. Because the more we do it, if we do it wisely and well, the easier and better it gets.

Nag-A-Day

Do yoga. Today.
Start with one pose. Build thoughtfully. Breathe deeply. 6-10 full but unforced breaths.
See where it takes you…. Another pose. Or the grocery store.
Both are good. You have done some yoga. Some is better than none.
