Pose of my day: Lunge. Not into Christmas future. Nor the past. Trying to stay in the present. Front knee over ankle. Settling down, heavy in hips. Pressing through back heel, keeping back leg straight and strong, lifting inner thigh up. Hugging legs toward each other, drawing front hip crease back, squaring hips. Rising onto fingertips and drawing shoulder blades together. Heart lifts, shines forward.
