Okay. I know this doesn’t count as my yoga for the day. However, I also know that my yoga practice helps me with life moments like spirit week at my children’s school (can I have a small rant about why on earth spirit week happens now just before school lets out when the kids are already crazy and not during the doldrums of winter when we all need a little pick me up?). This week has been filled with super early mornings and excited children seeking competitive creativity. Who has the most creative spirit? In large part due to me, I realize. As well as their super festive father. We don’t do spirit small. Yet, the ball needs to keep rolling, lunches made, work done, classes planned, appointments kept, dishes washed. So, we breathe deeply, twist ourselves around in complicated ways, dive into our deep wells of love and creativity, and know in the end that it will all get done or not, but it will be okay however it rolls out. My yoga practice makes this possible. Without a doubt. Reduces the mad scramble, the angst, and makes room to revel in the scattered, beautiful bits of this spectacular life. On even the most ridiculous of mornings. That and a spectacular mother in law. ❤️
