I am super excited about a series of classes that starts this coming week.  Yoga Nag helping you come up with some real tools to build your own practice at home.  Full description is below.  I would love to see you there.

TRANSFORMATION TAKES WORK: GROW A HOME PRACTICE
9 Week Special, Thursday nights, Jan 14 – March 10, 2016 
Willow Street Yoga Center, Silver Spring, MD

Yoga has the potential to be a transformational practice for our bodies, minds, and lives. But making change requires more than coming to class once a week. In this series of 9 classes, we will work to develop a home practice specifically tailored to your life and your needs. We will work on many aspects of yoga, including asana, breath work, meditation, chanting, and moving around the world with more awareness and care. View from the Porch

A sweet return home after a series of back-to-back private clients, a conference call for my other job sitting in parking lot in my car, and then even more time in the car running errands.

This girl needed to move and stretch her body before I even entered the house. Keeping Charlie company outside was also an important job.
Winter rain dancing with this good boy. Ahhhhhh.

Stone Temple Pilots Jam

From sadness to strength, practicing to the Stone Temple Pilots after hearing about Scott Weiland’s untimely death.

Practicing for real for the first time in over a week, eeks, maybe more.  (Yes, I have done some kind of yoga everyday, just not kick my butt, work hard physical yoga.)  Feeling so sloth like, winter body already here.  But by the fire, with Charlie and the Stone Temple Pilots, and then inspired to try something hard for me.  Bam.

Self Care Bounty

I had a two hour massage today. Yep. Two amazing, nurturing hours. Not all of it was happy, feel good stuff, because there is work that needs to be done, even on the massage table. And places that may be a little resistant to let go. But now I feel fantastic, calm and relaxed. It’s so much easier to be still when there isn’t quiet gripping going on in your muscles.

So, it’s time for yummy, cozy tea. This is a good day!

Oh, sweet self care, such bounty.

What are you doing to take care of yourself in these coming days?

Do #yoga. Get a massage. Feed yourself delicious and healthy food. Get a good night’s sleep. Go for a walk in the woods with someone you love. Or? Your choice. But do something sweet for yourself.
